Raymond Anthony Lopez

SAVANNAH - Raymond Anthony Lopez, 73, passed away at home after an extended illness on Friday, November 11, under the care of his family and Hospice Advantage.
He was preceded in death by his son Greg, grandson Tony Lopez, parents Luis and Anita Lopez, brothers Luis and Richard Lopez, sister Gloria Lineberger, foster father and uncle, Jess Astorga and mother-in-law, Bessie Rozier.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Shirley Rozier Lopez, daughter Anita Steve Seagraves, sons Guy Michelle and Lamar Lopez, grandchildren Heather Lopez, Stacy and Lisa Seagraves, Laura Lopez and Michael Lopez, great grandchildren, Olivia Lopez, Stella Herring and Aysah Wheeler, sister Sally Johnny Rout of Riverside CA, foster mother and Aunt, Emma Astorga of Indio, CA and brother and sister-in-law Lamar and Joyce Rozier of Alma, GA.
He was born on March 8, 1938 in Indio, CA. He lived in San Jose, CA for several years where he was employed by Ford Motor Company. In 1970 he moved to Alma, GA and was owner of Lopez Plumbing and Heating, Inc. In 1976 he moved to Savannah and was employed by Armstrong Atlantic State University. He retired from Armstrong after 24 years on July 1, 2000. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Visitation will be at Fox and Weeks on Hodgson Memorial Drive from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, November 14. Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 15 at Trinity Lutheran Church.
Remembrances may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church, 12391 Mercy
Boulevard, Savannah, GA 31419 or to Hospice Advantage, 8111 Waters Avenue, Savannah, GA 31406.
Burial will follow at approximately 3:00 p.m. at his son's side in Rose Hill Cemetery in Alma, GA.
